Messaging Terms (SMS)

Effective date: July 25, 2026 · Questions: [email protected]

These Messaging Terms govern the CHILL ACT Expo text message (SMS) program. By opting in, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Your mobile information is never shared or sold. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all information sharing; this information will not be shared with any third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.

1Program name & description

Program name: CHILL ACT Expo Alerts.

Description: CHILL ACT sends text messages to families and exhibitors who opt in, about the CHILL ACT Expo event they registered for. Messages may include registration and booth confirmations, event reminders, screening appointment reminders and confirmations, venue or schedule changes, and important day-of updates.

2How to opt in

You may join the program by checking the text-message consent box on our family registration form or exhibitor registration form and providing your mobile number. The consent box is separate from any other agreement and is not checked by default.

  • Providing a mobile number is optional. It is never required to register for, attend, or participate in a CHILL ACT event.
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase or of participation in any CHILL ACT event, booth, or service.
  • Consent applies to this program only. Opting in here does not enroll you in any other message program, and your consent is not transferable or assignable.
  • After you opt in, you will receive a confirmation text message.

3Message frequency

Message frequency varies. Message volume depends on the event you registered for and typically increases in the two weeks before an event.

4Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. These charges come from your mobile carrier and are your responsibility. Please check your mobile plan or contact your carrier for details.

5How to opt out (STOP)

You can cancel at any time. Simply text STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send you one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive any further text messages from that program.

You may also opt out by emailing [email protected] or by replying to any CHILL ACT email. Opting out of text messages does not remove you from email communications, and does not affect your event registration.

6How to get help (HELP)

If you need help or more information, text HELP to any message you receive from us, and we will reply with support information. You can also email [email protected] at any time.

9Supported carriers & devices

The program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers. Carrier support may change without notice, and not all handsets or carriers support all features. Messages are sent to U.S. mobile numbers only.

10Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how we use it. For the text message program specifically:

  • We do not sell, rent, trade, or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • We do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent with exhibitors, sponsors, providers, or lead generators.
  • We do not use rented, purchased, or shared opt-in lists.
  • We share your number only with the subcontractor that delivers our messages, solely so the messages you requested can be sent.
  • We keep a record of your consent, including the date, the form used, and the exact wording you agreed to.

11Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder of, or authorized to use, the mobile number you provide. Do not enroll a number that is not yours. If you change or give up your mobile number, please text STOP or notify us so we can update our records.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these Messaging Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will update the effective date above. Material changes affecting the program will be communicated where required.
